Boston Celtics Announce Six-Man Coaching Staff
Udoka Assembles Experienced Team
Boston, MA - The Boston Celtics have announced their six-man coaching staff for the upcoming season, led by head coach Ime Udoka.
Udoka, who was hired in June, has assembled an experienced staff that includes five assistant coaches and one player development coach. The assistant coaches are Will Hardy, Damon Stoudamire, Ben Sullivan, Joe Mazzulla, and Aaron Miles. Tony Dobbins is the team's player development coach.
Hardy has been an assistant coach with the San Antonio Spurs for the past six seasons. Stoudamire is a former NBA All-Star who has been an assistant coach with the Memphis Grizzlies for the past two seasons. Sullivan has been an assistant coach with the Golden State Warriors for the past five seasons. Mazzulla has been an assistant coach with the Brooklyn Nets for the past two seasons. Miles has been an assistant coach with the Sacramento Kings for the past two seasons. Dobbins has been a player development coach with the Celtics for the past three seasons.
"I'm excited to have this group of coaches on our staff," Udoka said. "They have a lot of experience and knowledge, and they're all passionate about the game of basketball. I'm confident that they can help me lead this team to success."
The Celtics finished with the worst record in the NBA last season, but they have high hopes for the upcoming season. The team added several key players in the offseason, including All-Star forward Jayson Tatum. With a talented roster and an experienced coaching staff, the Celtics are hoping to make a playoff run this season.
