Newcastle United announce pre-season friendlies
Magpies to face Athletic Bilbao and Villarreal
Preparations for the new season will step up when the Magpies kick-off their pre-season friendly fixtures just over a week after their return to training.
Newcastle United have confirmed two home pre-season friendly fixtures ahead of the 2022/23 Premier League season.
The Magpies will host Athletic Bilbao at St James' Park on Saturday, July 23 (kick-off 3pm BST) before welcoming Villarreal to Tyneside on Saturday, July 30 (kick-off 4pm BST).
Tickets for both fixtures will go on sale to season ticket holders and members from 10am on Tuesday, June 28, with general sale commencing from 10am on Wednesday, June 29.
Eddie Howe's side will also travel to Portugal for a training camp during pre-season, with further friendlies set to be announced in due course.
The Magpies kick-off their Premier League campaign at home to Nottingham Forest on Saturday, August 6.
