In a thrilling overtime battle, the Edmonton Oilers defeated the Florida Panthers 6-5 at Rogers Place on Wednesday night. Connor McDavid scored the game-winning goal in overtime to give the Oilers their second straight win.
Leon Draisaitl and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins each had a goal and an assist for the Oilers, while Zack Kassian, Ethan Bear, and Kailer Yamamoto also scored. Aleksander Barkov led the Panthers with two goals, while Jonathan Huberdeau, Evgenii Dadonov, and Owen Tippett each had one.
The Oilers improved to 21-19-4 with the win, while the Panthers fell to 20-17-6.
